NSSA is a not for profit Organisation registered since 2014 and its aim is to promote the cultural, religious, educational and social well-being of the Nair community within South Australia.
Vishu is the new year for the Hindu community in Kerala.The celebration begins at sunrise by seeing the “Vishu Kanni”. VishuKanni is the offering made to Krishna and consists of yellow flowers , rice, gold ,coins , new clothes ,fruits ,vegetables ValKannadi (mirror). Children are given (Kaineetam) lucky money by elders and delicious sadya (feast) is enjoyed by all.
NSSA celebrated this event with all splendour. Vishukani prepared by the members was a feast to the eye. Cultural programs included dance and music.
Students of Vishva Hindu Parishad Bal Samskar Kendra entertained the audience with a graceful Kuchipudi dance.
Vishu Sadya was enjoyed by one and all. The event was well organised and a grand success.
