The Joint meeting of the Central Governing Council and the Board of Trustees of Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is of definite view that Bharat must now be freed from the curse of religious conversions. Many conspiracies of illegal conversions being carried out by the Christian missionaries and the Mullah-Maulvis have been exposed in recent days. It becomes evident from it that today their conspiratorial networks and traps have been laid across all regions of Bharat. So far, only 11 states have laws against illegal religious conversions, while the conspiracy is nationwide. Therefore, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) is of the considered view that now there is the indispensability of a very tough central law to prevent illegal conversions.
